Puerto Vallarta Boats
A private charter means the yacht, the crew and the itinerary are yours for the day. No shared tables, no fixed tour script — just the people you invited and the coastline you want to see.
We work with a large fleet based in Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Every vessel has its own capacity, its own amenities and its own food-and-drink arrangement, so we start with your plans — group size, occasion, how long you want to be out — and recommend the yachts that genuinely fit.
Before you commit, you receive the vessel's details in writing: who is aboard, where it departs, what is included and what is not. Availability is never assumed; it is checked for your date.

Send us your preferred date, the number of guests and what you would like to do — through the inquiry form, email or phone. We check which suitable vessels are available, then send their details and inclusions in writing so you can choose before anything is confirmed.
The charters on this site are private: the vessel, captain and crew are reserved for your group only. The only people aboard are your guests and the crew assigned to the yacht.
It depends entirely on the vessel. Listed maximums in the fleet range from 5 guests on the Maxum 30 to 200 on Catamaran 90. Larger event catamarans also have a minimum group size. Each listing shows the maximum, and we confirm it for your date.
No. Most yachts list a set number of beers or sodas with snacks such as fruit, guacamole and chips. Some include lunch, a smaller group of vessels lists an open bar with food, and a few have a chef on board. See the open bar comparison for details by vessel.
Many listings state that guests may bring their own food and drinks, and catering can usually be arranged at extra cost. A few listings do not mention it, so we confirm your yacht's policy before you book.
Most of the fleet departs from Puerto Vallarta, including Marina Vallarta. Other vessels are based in Nuevo Vallarta or at Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, and some can begin elsewhere — such as Punta Mita — for an additional fee. Your confirmed departure point is included in your booking details.
Almost every listing includes the captain and crew, fuel, life jackets and snorkeling gear. Many add ice, water, a drinks allowance and snacks, and some include paddleboards, kayaks or floating mats. Ground transportation, towels (on most yachts) and crew gratuity are typically not included.
Rates depend on the vessel, the date, the number of hours, the group size and the departure point, and they can change. Instead of publishing figures that may be out of date, we quote the exact options for your plans when you inquire.
As early as your plans allow, especially for holidays, weekends and the winter high season, when popular yachts are in demand. Shorter-notice requests are welcome too — we will tell you honestly what is still available.
Routes depend on charter length, departure point, the yacht, sea conditions and park rules. Los Arcos and the south-shore beaches are common choices from Puerto Vallarta. The Marietas Islands are a protected park with regulated, permit-based access that only some charters can include.
Humpback whales visit Banderas Bay in winter, typically from about December to March, with official dates set each season. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and whale watching follows federal viewing rules. Read our whale watching guide before planning.
Safety decisions rest with the captain and the port authorities. If conditions are unsafe, the route may be changed or the charter rescheduled according to the terms confirmed for your booking — which is why we put those terms in writing up front.
