About us

About Puerto Vallarta Boats

We arrange private yacht and catamaran charters around Banderas Bay — matching each group to the right vessel and putting every detail in writing.

Who we are

A charter service built on getting the details right

Puerto Vallarta Boats arranges private yacht and catamaran charters around Banderas Bay. We work with privately operated vessels based in Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, and our job is to match each group with a yacht that genuinely suits it — then make sure everyone knows exactly what has been agreed.

That sounds simple, but yachts are not interchangeable. Two vessels of similar length can differ completely in how many guests they carry, where they depart, whether they include lunch or an open bar, and what toys are on board. We start from your plans rather than from a boat we need to fill.

We publish the fleet so you can explore it, compare it and arrive at a conversation already informed. Then we confirm the specifics for your date in writing.

How we work

Five principles behind every charter

Facts from the listing

Capacities, inclusions and features on this site come from each vessel's current listing. Where sources disagree, we show the more conservative figure and say so.

Availability, checked

Yachts are privately operated and their calendars change. A vessel appearing here never means it is free on your date — we check before we promise.

Everything in writing

Inclusions, extras, departure point and booking terms are confirmed in writing before you commit, so the day holds no surprises.

The captain decides on safety

Routes and swim stops always depend on weather, sea conditions and port authorities. We plan around that rather than pretending it away.

Respect for the bay

Marine parks, the Marietas Islands and the whale season all come with rules. We describe them honestly and never promise wildlife or restricted access.

Rates on request

Rates depend on the vessel, date, hours, group and departure point, so we quote them for your plans rather than publishing figures that can date.

The fleet

53 vessels, one honest way to compare them

The fleet runs from a compact 30-foot cruiser for a couple to an event catamaran listed for up to 200 guests, with Azimut, Ferretti, Hatteras, Sea Ray, Sunseeker, Lagoon and Leopard among the builders. Twelve yachts also have their own detail pages with photo galleries.

Each card shows the guest maximum, the departure area and the yacht's food-and-drink arrangement at a glance, so you can shortlist in minutes and ask about the vessels that genuinely fit.

Questions & answers

Questions about our service

Straight answers to the questions guests ask most. Anything not covered here is confirmed in writing when you inquire.

Ask us something else

Do you own the yachts on this website?

The vessels are privately owned and operated. Our role is to match your group with a suitable yacht, check its availability for your date and confirm the details with you in writing.

Where does the fleet information come from?

Capacities, inclusions and features come from each vessel's current listing. Where listings disagree — on capacity, for example — we show the more conservative figure and note the difference on the yacht's page.

Why might a yacht shown here be unavailable?

Yachts can be booked by other guests, scheduled for maintenance, offered only in certain months, relocated or sold. That is why every request is checked against the vessel's calendar before anything is promised.

Which areas do you cover?

Banderas Bay, with departures from Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Some vessels can begin from other points, such as Punta Mita, for an additional fee.

Do you arrange anything besides the yacht?

Within a charter, we can help with requests such as catering, decorations, extra hours or an alternative departure point, depending on the vessel. Each extra is confirmed separately with any cost.

How do you handle weather?

Safety decisions rest with the captain and the port authorities. If conditions are unsafe, plans change according to the terms confirmed for your booking, which is why those terms are written down in advance.

Do you guarantee whale sightings or access to the Marietas Islands?

No. Wildlife is wild and protected areas are regulated, so we never guarantee sightings, landings or access. We explain what is realistic for your dates and vessel.

How do I contact you?
Is this the Spanish-language site as well?

No. This website is published in English only. Every page, inquiry and confirmation here is handled in English.

Can I suggest a yacht that is not listed?

You can ask. If a vessel you have seen elsewhere is not part of the fleet we work with, we will tell you honestly and suggest the closest alternatives.
